Meet the Team

Clark Spratlin, Head Golf Professional
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Clark Spratlin played golf at the University of Georgia and Columbus State University. After three years as a touring pro, Clark pursued opportunities as a PGA Professional, first at the Atlanta Country Club and then as Head Professional at Atlanta National Golf Club for more than seven years. He then worked in Blue Ridge, GA, before joining us here at Currahee Club. Clark is an outstanding player and loves teaching. He and his wife Debbie are parents to triplet daughters.

Anne Shurley, Director of Human Resources
Anne Shurley was born and raised in the small town of Thomaston, Georgia. After attending Valdosta State University and Young Harris College, Anne moved to the city and worked for CNN as the Controller and Director of Finance. During her 21 years there, she traveled to nine countries with CNN’s news-gathering operations. After which, she longed for a slower pace and to be close to her family who have called Stephens County home for the past thirty years. Anne has found her home at Currahee Club where she previously served as the Community Manager and Director of Finance.

Josh Cooper, Director of Agronomy
Josh Cooper, a Memphis native, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Sciences from The University of Tennessee in 2008. During his time at Tennessee, Cooper interned at a variety of golf courses, which led to his position after graduation as Senior Assistant Superintendent at Victoria National Golf Club. In January 2012, Cooper accepted the Golf Course Superintendent position at Currahee Club. From the inviting sense of community to the best “office” view, Cooper said he could never have dreamed his first superintendent job would be at a course and community like Currahee.

Hillel Mindlin, Director of Food and Beverage
Raised in Harrisburg, PA, Hillel Mindlin worked as the Restaurant Manager at the Colonial Golf and Tennis Club, revitalizing their Food and Beverage operations. While there, he became enamored with the game of golf. He moved to Florida to attend Florida Gulf Coast University and received his Bachelor of Science in PGA Golf Management. He worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at The Old Collier Golf Club and Quail West Golf & Country Club and, upon graduation, was elected as a Class “A” PGA Golf Professional, a prestigious status Hillel still maintains at Currahee. Hillel joined Currahee Club as the Restaurant Services Manager and was promoted to Food and Beverage Manager and a member of the club’s executive team. This past June, Hillel and his wife, Christine, welcomed their first child, Vivienne.

Brian Davis, Sales Manager and Broker in Charge
Growing up in Clemson, SC, Brian Davis graduated Clemson University in 1998 and was a founding member of Clemson’s all-male a capella group — Tigerroar. Brian also was a member of the Clemson Track Team, who earned the title of Track and Field ACC Champions (indoor and outdoor) in 1997 and 1998. After graduating, Brian launched a career in real estate and has worked in both sales and marketing in several states around the country. When he is not at Currahee Club, Brian and his wife, Robin, take a seat on the sidelines watching their three boys, John Austin (15), JD (13) and Colt (7), in track, football and baseball.
