As General Manager, Lonnie oversees Currahee Club golf club and Property Owner Association operations.  Along with a dedicated team, Lonnie ensures Currahee Club members enjoy fine food and spirits, as well as Golf Clubhouse entertainment, while relaxing in the beauty of the North Georgia mountains and the community’s nationally ranked golf course.

Lonnie’s zeal for southern hospitality and superior service is evident by his more than twenty years of private club management experience with some of the region’s most highly regarded communities.

His enthusiastic and disciplined approach to his career also was realized in his service as the 2004 president of the Florida Club Managers Association (CMAA) as well as many committee responsibilities with the National organization of CMAA and in various board positions with the Florida Restaurant Association (FRA). 

Prior to joining Currahee Club, Lonnie served and four years as general manager at Audubon Country Club in Naples, Fla. and 13 years as general manager of the Island Country Club in Marco Island, Florida both clubs/communities amongst the top elite clubs of Florida. His experience at such top shelf communities has culled Lonnie’s keen ability to continuously offer excellent golf experiences, exquisite cuisine, refined service and unique experiences – all integral components of Currahee Club’s mission. 

An avid outdoorsman, Lonnie enjoys fishing, boating, hunting and other adventures along with his beloved family – Susan, his wife of 20 years, and his two sons, Jarrod and Chase.
